AIS v2015.10.3.2223 Question on Cleanup

G’day

How many of you been using the latest Avast Cleanup and what do you really think about this tool since it was called Grimefighter is now redone and called Cleanup, keep mind I haven’t install Cleanup on my until I get as much feedback as possible cause I’m not screwing up my PC as they are now

Because I need to know as much as possible about the new Cleanup just in case IF my clients start asking me question.

It appears to set services to the blackviper list, removes non-essential start keys (java, iTunes etc) and clears all temp folders

But as I have a clean system it did not do a lot for me

Do you think my clients don’t really need Cleanup IF they know how to look after themselves.

If they know their way around a computer then probably not

Last question essexboy is Cleanup very safe ???

As it did so little on my system I can not give a definitive answer

Safe is a strange term as it may be safe for many but not so for others.

Personally I don’t like optimisers as such for the most part they aren’t required. The problem come when they run, if they are user friendly or not. e.g. what do they display (information for the user) how do they work (automatic or user interaction).

If they are user interaction based, the user ultimately has to make the choice to accept what is offered and allow it to be cleaned up, or what ones to be allowed. For either of those requires a degree of user experience of whay is on their system and what it does, etc. Some unfortunately haven’t got that experience.
