hello,
I have a webserver in a virtual box.
when I disable AIS7 Firewall the webserver is available from outside.
with firewalled enabled the access is blocked.
the vbox machine is using bridged networking with an explicit ip.
how can I let pass through all inbound traffic to this virtual server without disabling the firewall?
regards
Try entering the IP in the firewall’s…Friends List? ( I think thats what it was called, have not used AIS in awhile, but its pretty close to that).
Hello & thanks,
that’s what I did & thought it would work, but it seems like the friends networks function is only applicable on internal networking.
when I turn on the fw the server can’t be reached.
Check the “Internet Connection Sharing mode” checkbox on the Firewall / Expert settings dialog
Same as previous problem?? http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=85730.msg693700#msg693700
@dynamind - You might want to hide your email address so you don’t get spammed.
no, not the same, it’s enabled since I installed virtualbox ; ) the firewall is blocking inbound connections to the webserver
Which firewall zone do you have set?
at work / medium risk, I guess a DMZ option would be fine in case of that,
for the moment my problem is solved cause I finished the installation of the new debian kvm server,
but anyway it would be interesting how to set a demilitarized zone
Is it possible that Virtualbox is installing his own network driver/LAN adapter? I can remember something when i had installed Virtualbox a few months ago.

the VirtualBox Host-Only Network is disabled, I don’t need it.
