Alarming amount of search results not secure

Hi forum folks,

With 8.5 % of search content of dubious quality (malware, spy- or adware) search results can lead you to unsafe links.
This is an alarming high percentage. MSN scored better than Google did. Ask was top-runner in a negative trend. But anyway. Isn’t it time to install some in-browser prevention like Siteadvisor and DrWeb’s pre-hyperlink scan plug-in both for IE and FF? Polonus thinks we cannot do without - it is a must.

If only those two were available for Opera. I do use them in IE7, though.

Hi CharleyO,

The DrWeb browser plug-in is available for Opera though, go here for instructions to install it manually in Opera: http://download.drweb.com/opera+browser+plugin/

And CharleyO, I have found a great free alternative to siteadvisor to be used inside Opera without any install, the beta version of scandoo, search results with green and red lights. Easy peasy, and no excuse anymore to land on rogue sites like happens with the other search engines in America in 298 milion cases. The golden bookmark link for ye is:

http://www.scandoo.com/

kind regards,

polonus
