I use Windows Firewall on my Windows 10 Laptop and use Avast Free Antivirus. To secure my laptop and reducte data consumption, in Windows Firewall, I blocked the Outbound Connection that doesn’t match with a rule. By default, this setting is allowed. Since it blocks new connections, I create Outbound rules to allow any new connections, such as a browser or a modem software. I allowed many .exe files through the Firewall but still it can’t connect to the internet. Now how can I allow Avast through Windows Firewall Outbound Connections? I can’t use the default setting because it will consume so much data I can’t afford.
Hi,
Can you please clarify if you are receiving any error messages?
If I don’t allow outbound connections in Windows Firewall that doesn’t match with rules, Avast says there’s no internet connection when I want to Update or if whenever I want Avast to do anything with internet.
You need to allow Avast access to the internet to function properly.
