I am currently Subscribing to Avast Mobile Pro Plus and also Avast Mobile Security Premium for Android. I have a Samsung Galaxy Android Tablet and wonder if I need both of these…….or maybe something completely different? I would appreciate any help as I am completely confused. Thank you
For an android tablet, I would think that is all you would need.
Even the free version of Avast Mobile Security is quite adequate IMO.
Thank you so much. I got so confused as to what was included in each subscription that, mind blown, I opted for both! One thing g I did notice was that when the Pro Plus was active it stopped adverts. Am I correct in thinking that the Avast Mobile Security Premium allows ads? Thanks
It should not display ad’s, but you may see upselling of other Avast products at end of a Smart Scan, beyond Core Issues,.

Just recently post Smart Scan with Avast Premium Mobile Security on my Samsung A15, a Privacy Issue has supposedly been identified. The issue identified is that my personal IP, location, etc is visible. This is patently false as I had Avast VPN for a foreign location active and this is confirmed by a My IP browser search. The post Smart Scan screen is now headed with Avast Premium Mobile tagged with an extra yellow UPGRADE button. An obviously unethical way of scaring folks into an Upgrade to enable hiding of already hidden personal IP, location, etc info. I’ve gone through the totally useless chat with an AI Assisted sprite or ghost with no apparent way of getting in touch directly with Avast marketing.
Be aware that some additional Smart Scan advice may point to additional Avast products. i.e. upselling.
Noted, thanks. In fact my post was to illustrate an example of upselling by Avast Premium Mobile Smart Scan using inaccurate and misleading data. It showed that my personal IP, geolocation, etc were visible to all. This was not the case as Avast VPN was hiding this data. A browser search with “My IP” gave data consistent with the VPN. Avast should be ashamed of such an unethical approach to enticing users to upgrade. How can I bring this directly to Avast’s attention?
