Amazon Prime cannot be watched via VPN

I am not able to watch Amazon Prime via VPN. I keep receiving this message:
“Your device is connected to the internet through a VPN or a proxy service. Turn it off and try again. For more help, visit primevideo.com/vpn.
Is there a solution?

This response seems to suggest there is a work-around. If so, I’d love to know what it is. Amazon Prime is my only lack while on Avast VPN.

I am also getting an error message saying service not available in your country, it also happens for hbomax and other streaming platforms

I’m also having this problem… so the solution is to PM r@vast my activation code? sounds strange

In this case, it would be because you are not using a location optimized for streaming. In Avast SecureLine VPN one needs to select those servers marked as streaming when accessing streaming sites. https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Use-SecureLine-VPN-standalone/#idt_020

I am also having problem streaming amazon prime while connected to a vpn - even the ones specified for streaming with the “play” icon on the side.

I’m in Argentina, and the same happens to me: From my Android phone I’m unable to use the VPN on Netflix, Amazon prime video, Star+, HBO max. On my Chromecast with Google TV only Prime video is working.

I always use the location optimized for streaming. If this doesn’t work I’ll have to ask for a refund.

I take it you are using the steaming apps and not a browser to access the streaming content, correct?

Which VPN streaming location are you using?
