An error occurred during installation.

Hi,

I tried to install Avast on my Mid 2011 iMac but get an error message at the very end of the installation after “Validation of packages …”. I can’t figure out what could could cause the issue. The original message is in French but here is a loose translation:

An error occurred during installation.

Installation failed.
The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software publisher for assistance.

Any suggestion?

there should be a log in /tmp directory - would you mind to send it to hasik (at) avast (dot) com ?
