Hi
i am trying to restore my system to an earlier point but it gives me error message an unspecified error occurred during system restore. (0x80070002)

actually i installed avast and did boot scan. after scan a different profile was loaded by avast … so to get to original profile i uninstalled avast … but after uninstalling when i tried to login my profile it simply logged off

i have no system image so i tried to restore at previous point which is not working either
i also looked at registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList (see atached file)
then i removed above three keys as last key is showing path of my profile … but still i am unable to login my profile

in this case the there is no recovery disk
try going into safe mode, start the restore system
if it gives the error message, I guess there is noway to solve this, unless the formatting and operating system reinstallation
