I have a problem to uninstall Avast A-T from my Moto G 3rd gen and Android 6.0.
Using article https://www.avast.com/en-us/faq.php?article=AVKB214#idt_110 I stucked in section “What should I do if the uninstallation of Anti-Theft does not work?” On screen shows up text “Settings application stopped working”
And that’s it nothing else from article works. Phone rebooted many times.

both methods (preffered and alternattive) doesn’t work. I have to disable anti-theft from Settings → Security → Device admins. When I try It, I have error: Application Settings Stopped working…
I would say reboot the phone and try again.
Not saying it will solve it, but it is a easy thing to try.
Problem solved. Avast A-T doesn’t have right priviliges. I had to turn on Settings → Security → Advanced → Monitoring Applications → Avast Anti-Theft → Turn ON
