Anomaly in avast! system account

One of two systems is not updating to current as it should:

How to fix? I did upgrade via aswclear and fresh install to version 8.0.1497 AIS about two weeks ago. Before this change was made, “Account” link would always show email addy, now it does not.

You could also try disconnecting/deleting that avast installation from the my.avast account, then delete that device in my.avast. Now you could link this installation to my.avast again.

I have also found inaccurate information showing in My Devices and Avast account since upgrading one of my Avast installations and haven’t been able to update information successfully. :-

Issue was that this install was clean and not an upgrade, so had to tackle a different way because of that.

Settings>Account>Connect Now Click that and enter email and password and done; except, as you say, if same system, can delete the old one in place of the new one.

You’re welcome, I hadn’t thought of the case of it being a clean install since there was a device entry for it in my.avast.com.
