Another Pesky Warning!

Yesterday I started up another full system virus scan and this new warning popped up:

I cleaned my caches, repaired disk permissions etc. and the next scan it was still there!
Anyone else with this problem, or is it just another warning to ignore?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

According to your screenshot, it seems so.

Thanks for the extremely quick reply!
It seems to have appeared after uninstalling Xcode. Maybe just an error that it’s trying to reference a missing file?

  1. You’re welcome.
  2. For everything else, you’ve to wait for one of the Mac guys.

I’ve never seen such an error. Did you delete a pic (png)? It doesn’t appear to be Avast-related. Did you contact ApPle about it?

The error/description is “gzip file is corrupted”.
I haven’t contacted apple as I thought it would be easier to explain. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?
Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The warning says, that a GZIP archive could not be extracted. There may be several
reasons for that, but the short answer is you can safely ignore this message.
