I was just browsing web and security programs websites and I stumble upon this information (I know it is not knew…lol) on GMER.net:
“ALWIL Software has released AVAST 4.8 containing anti-rootkit based on GMER technology.”
IS this means that we have GMER’s Anti-rootkit incorporated in AV? :o

What is the anti root kit???
Rootkit info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rootkit
The antirootkit is an avast protection (and scanning) against this kind of malware.

A quick perusal of the board and Avast’s website creates a very solid impression of the GMER technology.
Would be interested to hear what YOUR opinion is about the strength of the anti-rootkit function?
Thanks,
