I just landed from Dubai and changed my sim. The avast anti-theft started sending sms to the mobile nos that i had earlier registered on the anti-theft. I didnt knw it until after two days my balance was deducted for those sms’es. I tried to uninstall avast but it still keeps sending those sms. How to get rid of this??? >:( >:( >:(

What??? I didn’t know it costs that much??? Really?
Hello,
you set up Anti-Theft and forgot to deactivate it before you changed the SIM card. The app does what it should: report an unauthorised SIM card change.
if you have troubles understanding the mechanism of the app please consult our manual available at:
http://files.avast.com/files/documentation/mobile-security-user-guide-en.pdf
give it a try - it’s short and easy to understand.
to uninstall our app please proceed as follows:
- open avast! Mobile Security, open the settings and select the “avast! Anti-Theft removal wizard”. When it’s done you can uninstall avast! Mobile Security like any other app.
- if you no longer have avast! Mobile Security installed and just want to uninstall Anti-Theft you can either reinstall avast! Mobile Security to use the wizard or proceed in these steps:
open your phone’s app manager and uninstall the app with the custom name you chose on installing avast! Anti Theft.
If the uninstall fails please remove the app from the device administrators list (you can find it in your phone’s settings).
