Maybe you did not fully remove Avast after first installation.
You could completely remove using the Avast removal tool that can be downloaded here: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility#pc
Then Restart before doing a new clean install of Avast.
I haven’t tried it.
Thank you. I’ll try it next time.
I’m in Windows format right now. (Initial state, raw state)
I can’t touch it because I’m afraid it’ll break if I touch something. Currently, I’m afraid of deleting and reinstalling the program.
So I’ll use it like this and test it again later.
That may well have been applicable to the beta build, but I don’t see that as the case in the latest Avast Free 21.11.2500 (build 21.11.6809.528) release.
I just did an in-program update from 21.09.xxxx (I skipped 21.10.xxxx) and the free firewall wasn’t downloaded or active. Now obviously I wasn’t doing a clean/first installation, but I thought the Firewall wouldn’t be a forced install as users would obviously be using a firewall, be that the windows firewall or a 3rd party firewall.
I just did a clean install and the firewall is not checked by default.
So, unless you do a custom install and select it, it will not be there when the installation finishes.
Thank you for everyone’s advice.
And I’ll tell you my story.(Additional content.)
I can’t easily install the avast program.
I am always installing it manually.
The reason is
If I install it automatically,
The installation of avast program cannot be completed.
(Nothing happens at the end of the program installation. The program stopped)
All programs stop after Windows 10 booting.
So I…
Always check and install all installations manually.
And then…
I re-select and install all of them in the program settings after installation. https://youtu.be/dw5I-qgBYuQ
My installation video.
(I am installing it with difficulty.
In my case, if I don’t install it like this, the program won’t be installed normally.)
But when I try to install a firewall program…
I had to manually check only firewall programs.
And as I told you earlier, the program was not installed.
But Windows 10… I booted it… Like a miracle, I succeeded in installing it.
(I only selected and installed firewall programs except for all of them)
Is it because I am a Korean user?
Or Windows 10 Insider. I’m guessing it’s because of this.
