Antivirus System Pro pop-up

I have been plagued with “Antivirus System PRO” pop-ups. When I run Avast it tells me I don’t have any viruses or trojan horses. Help!! What should I do?

It is a fake alert, scam/scumware.

If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it and report the findings (it should product a log file).

Repeated alerts;
Obsessive requests to buy licensed program version;
PC scans every time you start the computer;

All the mentioned problems are caused by Antivirus System Pro, which is very annoying.

I’ve tried Spyware Doctor, and it helped: Antivirus System Pro removal

Personally I believe MBAM is better than Spyware Doctor that that site tries to have you download. Spyware Doctor installation file is around 23MB where MBAM and SAS are only a few MB.

I was hit by Antivirus System Pro.

Avast did not stop it, but Avast did find sysguard.exe and deleted it, but it kept coming.

Superantispyware did not stop it.

Found iehelper.dll in System 32, removed it.

Found ‘Program Files\hkshbx’ folder that had ‘kkiwsysguard.exe’ in it - Removed folder and exe file.

Found the above program and exe file in Startup toolbar in 2 locations by using msconfig and unchecked configuration in both locations. I do not know how to completely remove the configurations from the tool bar, but they don’t try to start at startup.

That made Antivirus System Pro pop-up go away.

MBAM is better at the removal of rogue applications like this as it started its days as RogueRemover but the MBAM is much improved on that and doesn’t jsut deal with rogue programs.
