Hello, I have an urgent problem with the Avast Passwords app. After installing it on the new iOS 26.2 on my iPhone 17 Pro, the app no longer starts. The problem is that I now no longer have access. I currently have several hundred passwords stored there. Restarting my iPhone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and using another device with my login details does not work. Apparently, the cloud data for my account is no longer available on Passwords. I can’t access my data via the new Password Manager app either. The suggested migration from Passwords to Password Manager doesn’t work either. Is there any way (at least once) to get my data back? Thanks, Sascha
Hi,
be patient. Avast Passwords will fire up again with IOS 26.3. I had the same problem with 26.2 but I have also a beta for 26.3 where the problem is gone. The 26.3 is to be released late Jan or early February. /BePe
Hi BePe, thanks for info. Cross fingers ![]()
It didnt solve the problem i think?
no unfortunately not ![]()
Hi, my apologies for being to enthusiastic about the 26.3 but there is a solution. It is correct that 26.3 didn’t solve the problem on my IP 17 Pro but as the beta the real release worked on my test tevice that is an IP 12 Pro. The problem is apparently related to the combination of IP device and IOS version.
I then took a backup of my IP 17 and restored that backup on my IP 12. There the Avast Passwords started on IOS 26.3 and I could retrieve the data I needed.
