Please pack the file in password protected archive and sent it to virus@avast.com, and as a mail subject write “False Positive”, so alwil can have a look at the file and to fix the false positive
But just for sure you can upload the file to VirusTotal.com to see if only avast! is detecting the file as a virus.
And till the FP is fixed you can add the file to the Standard Shield exclusion list: go to the Resident Protection Settings → Standard Shield → Settings → Advanced → Exclusion List → Add
It is safer when used to confirm a false positive as it isn’t so important if their avast VPS isn’t up to date as a users copy is likely to be.
Their admission of some signature files not being right up to date related to two programs, avast and one other where they don’t have a live update setup.
