Application with Camera stops working with Android Avast

Folks

I have been using a application called Memories Diary which as the option to take pictures via the phone camera
with Avast 1.0.2129 installed the application takes a picture but then does not allow it to save the picture

With Avast removed the problem is fixed.

I suspect the application is been treated as some form of virus / trojan and is been blocked.
Is there any way to add the application to a exclude list so Avast does not block the application from working.

Hi,

if AMS doesn’t report it as malware during a scan (and your status is “Secured”), it shouldn’t be the case. Are you sure you have enough memory to save the picture? Can you try removing some other app to eliminate this possibility?

But think you reply is very odd , in removing another app

Tried the application Memories Diary with the camera and it still fails

Removed Avast and the above application now works again.
Would be nice to find a way to fix this with Avast installed

P.S I have sent feedback to the developer of Memories Diary to see if they have any idea’s

Hi,

I just installed the app, clicked on a little camera at the top right corner, took a picture, wrote a comment, saved a memory. Then installed a public version of avast! from Google Play, set it up, no malware found in Memories Diary, went back to the Memories Diary, did exactly what I did before, saved another memory, no problem.

If you want, you can try installing our new beta (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=101642.0) and see if it causes the same problems. If it does, go to the Settings-About-Send feedback, tick all the boxes and send us a feedback. If you then tell me the code of the ticket (which you will get if you provide a valid email address), I can take a look at the files that will arrive and try to investigate.
