Applying a new license

My district has received it’s license for 2014 and we have applied it through the maintenance console, rebooted the server and the clients. When I look at the individual clients, each still shows “Subscription:11 days remaining.” I have manually applied the license to my machine and the results are the same. My question is: does the old license need to run it’s full course before the new one starts or am I missing a step somewhere?

Thank you. My supervisor received a different named license at the same time. I applied the license sent to me and my machine now shows 374 days left on the license. I have put the tech director’s license somewhere “safe” (flash drive in my desk :)) so it will not be accidentally applied.
