I just did a scan of all my files with avast… It said no virus found but some files couldn’t be scanned… There are 30 or so, which say “ERROR…archive is password protected” the number beside all of them is 42056…and checking them they are flashplayer related…
there is a drop down box to delete, move to virus chest, ignore etc. but the apply button is not available …so can not take any action…
and why would you take any action… they are not malware
files that can not be scanned are just that and does not mean they are infected…avast is just telling you it could not scan them and why
and since they are not malware files, you can not take any action
and now you are wondering why they are password protected bc you did not do it :
that is bc many programs protect there files with a password…especially security programs but also others
so nothing to worry about
