is there any way to get a log,report, etc.(something that can be looked at) when running askquick??

I think it just log infections…
There isn’t a specific log for it C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log\ folder.
Well you have to have checked the Shoe special scans in avast user interface (avastUI, Basic, Special Scans). That will now place the Scan in the Scan Computer section, from here you can see Scan from Windows Explorer (ashQuick), from its settings you can elect to have a report generated. Then you can try to find it C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast[b]report[/b] (X) or C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast[b]report[/b] (vista, win7) folder (not log folder)
But what is it you are looking for in the way of a report ?
The whole point of the ashQuick.exe, is as its name suggests a quick scan, if it finds anything it will alert and if not it will show a screen with basic results, qty of files/folders/data scanned.
