aswrvRt.sys no boot issue

Hello, Just started having this issue. Just like many others before me, Safe Mode hangs up on the aswrvRt.sys file.

I cannot get anywhere but the “System Repair” prompt, so I cannot run the uninstaller utility.

If you have MBAM on your machine, try and get into Safe Mode with Networking. Update MABM and attach the MBAM log to your next post.

Please refer to this link from another machine if needed https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 for logs needed for malware removal. If you are unable, a malware removal specialist will be along at some point to assist you. Do not make any changes to your machine in the meantime. Thank you.

Did you get windows update prior to this problem ?

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press Fix
On completion try a normal boot

I am unsure if I got an update or not. Tried the normal boot after the fix, same issue persists.

OK I will try this one first before I remove Avast, although I do not believe that removing Avast will make any difference

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press Fix
On completion try a normal boot
If that does not work then run startup repair at least twice

First try got a 0x19 error. Performed repair 2x and then got the 0x7e again.

This fix will disable Avast, although I do not feel it is the problem

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press Fix
On completion try a normal boot

No good. Do you have an idea on what the problem could be? Is it fixable, or should I just move to reimage my OS?

This is one of those problems that could be caused by anything within the windows set up. So yes a re-image will be a lot faster

Mmkay, well thanks for the help!
