Computer froze in the middle of a shut down update and now it won’t boot. Safe mode boot freezes at aswRvrt.sys. I’ve already downloaded Rufu V1.3.2 & FRST64. Computer is Win7 64bit Gateway Laptop.

I tried it last night but Rufus kept erroring out. Ended up being a non-issue so here is the log file:
This may be a windows update problem
Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Start FRST and press fix
On completion try a startup repair on the recovery console
