aswsnx private storage. Blank desktop and no icons.

Hi

I’m using Avast Free edition. I got a virus that was detected and eliminated. But all desktop icons and folders disappeared. I took off my HDD and tried to access it ad a removable item, but I found only two folders ## aswSnx private storage and Quarantine. Where Can I find my saved pictures. documents and music ? I’m quite sure that they are hidden somewhere as while running an anti-virus scan I can see the folders being scanned, but I can not get access to them. Can anyone help please.

Do you say you have only those 2 folders left on your HDD? Then I would use an undelete tool and see on-disk structure.
