aswsp.sys bsod

After Avast free edition updated this morning I have been having an issue trying to install some software from my cd drive. It starts to get ready to install then bsod with a aswsp.sys error. I removed Avast and had no issues installing the software.
Until the update it wasn’t an issue as I’ve just done a reformat and have been in the process of reinstalling my software, no issues doing so until after this latest update.

Latest Avast free edition updated.

Going to try reinstalling Avast now that I have installed the software and see if I have any other issues with it.

if you have minidump (.dmp, i.e. <300kb), you can send it directly to: kurtin@avast.com
otherwise upload it on our ftp (http://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=18)

Thanks for you very quick response and help, I must be losing the plot I was sure I had updated to the latest version, maybe its time I took a coffee break from the computer lol. :slight_smile:

Don’t worry, it is not you :wink: The 874 build is a Pre-Release build you can’t get by updating Avast!. You must download and use the installer you need from the link Petr ( pk ) gave you :slight_smile:

Oh I see, thanks for explaining that as I had just re downloaded the latest version from the site and not that link. 8)
