Auto dowloads not happening, turned off pw protect on downloads..

hi, is there another reason why auto downloads would stop?
had applied passwords to everything, removed password from update control.
currently trying uncheck / remove pw from genereal app control.

  • is there a secondary ‘process’ might have stopped, didn’t know that belongs to avast
  • otherwise recommend that items that affect updates on off have note by them… saying 'this will stop auto-updates, (passwords… list of processes…)

If it is the avastUI, Settings, Password section, then the Update control should have been unchecked by default, so presumably you added that to the list ?

Try a reboot after having either unchecked the Update control option or remove the password completely. Then try a manual update.
