Auto update does not work

Hi can someone help iam running avast home Version 4.8.1335 the atuo update does not work i have to do a manuel update i useing windows xp home sp3 i have looked in the event viewer found about 30 of these errors Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x00000426, dwRes is 00000005 i have used avast all the time i use a wireless to get on the internet i use comodo firewall they have worked well for a long time but for the last 4 days i have had to do manuel update all the errors say the same is there a fix for this ? can someone help ???

Can you delete avast entries into Comodo program settings, boot, allow them to access again?
Also, please, post the last 300-350 lines of avast log: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\Setup.log

hi there i have just delete avast entries in comodo program setting have booted my computer and comodo ask that avast full access to the internet i have give it full access still not updateing
