i have few programs like nero, msm … that can do an automatic file scannin for viruses if i tell them the antivirus exe to use. Can anyone help me to set it up?
Probably i need to know wich exe file of avast i have to point to and any parameter i may need (ie: ***\ashAvast.exe -a -b -c )

use ashquick.exe…search this forum for ashquick and you’ll find lots of info

If you installed Avast into the default directory then this is what you should put into the command line in the other programs like msn :
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe
