I would like to ask, if there is any possibility to make avast work in an automatized, silent mode. I mean during a virus scan. I have avast! 4.8 home professional. Somewhere I’ve read that it has the possibility to automatically select the needed operation when it finds a threat. So how can I make it work alone? I’d like to start the virus scan, and I want avast to scan through the computer, and be available to select the operation after the scan, or select it automatically. Is it possible?
sorry, but, I think its available only in the professional edition.

Yes, in the user manual, that is the relevant section. It is part of the ‘Working with tasks’ section. I would recommend reading that whole section (starts 53) to familiarise yourself with it.
