I have a problem with the auto update of avast - it does not work.
I use securepoint personal firewall and it blocks always the “avast.setup” file.
When I do a manual update of avast my firewall asks, if I want avast.setup to access to the internet. I allow it, but after the update, avast seems to delete that file and my firewall seems to “forget” the rule for the avast.setup file. Is there any way, that avast does not delete that file after updating??
No, there isn’t such way.
setup.ovr file is converted into avast.setup to update.
The problem, in my opinion, is that your firewall deletes the rule. I’ve not seen this behavior before. Other firewalls have no trouble with the proper rule for avast updating.
