Ever since our Avast updated late last week we have been having trouble with our email. At first we could not send our receive emails and I thought that was taken care of but not we are not able to attach documents to outgoing emails. Could you please offer some advice on what we should do. Thanks.
Firstly you don’t say what your email program is ?
Why can’t you attach documents, what errors are displayed ?
What is your firewall ?
Does it allow ashMaiSv.exe internet access (that may have been your initial problem because of changed avast processes) ?
I am not very computer savvy. How can I tell?
I asked 4 questions I really don’t know what it is you can’t do.
So if you can answer any of the questions please do we can work on the rest, without information I’m dead in the water.
Did you use another antivirus before avast (like ClamWin or Norton or AVG)?
Could you receive mail and you just can’t send email with attachments, is this true?
