Avast 4.8.1368 strange behaviors I see on Process Explorer

Hello Everyone,

Lately I have been seen noticing what I think is an intermittent internet connection originating from ashWebSv.exe. But it might also be something just being done locally by ashWebSv.exe… because Avast doesn’t say it is downloading anything… i don’t know. Whatever it is, I can detect the issue as I/O bytes reads using Process Explorer to read them. Has anyone else noticed this or know what it could be?

ashWebSv.exe is the WebShield - it acts as a HTTP proxy, all the connections from your browser going through it.
So, it’s certainly not surprising the you see connections from this process (it would be surprising if you wouldn’t).
