I have Avast 4.8 Free version on my Win98se notebook. Installed it about one week ago.
Would someone tell me if I can ‘always’ scan the C: and D: drives automatically? Of do I have to keep indicating which drives to scan everytime I do a scan?
While the VRDB is running, can I work on other items on-line or off-line? Or must I not do any other work on the notebook while VRDB is running?
You can work while VRDB is being constructed in background.
Remember, VRDB is not a backup system. It does not need to be run more than the default settings (21 days).
I think I might have typed my question poorly, when I said:
“Would someone tell me if I can ‘always’ scan the C: and D: drives automatically? Of do I have to keep indicating which drives to scan everytime I do a scan?”
I do a ‘manual’ scan every several days and I wondered if there is a way that I can always have the C: drive and D: drive ‘checked’ as the two dirves to always check (when I do a manual scan)?
Or, do I always have to keep ‘checking’ the C: drive and D: drive, prior to the manual scan?
Hope that is clearer. (I did not want Avast to do an automatic scan on a scheduled basis.)
