As I’m new here, sorry if posted in wrong section.
3 days ago I’ve installed Avast free AV 5.0.418 on windows 7 ultimate
after some time of logon (say 1 hour.) automatically blue screen error occours, something like following
System Memory Dump= (number increases from 1 to 100)
when it reaches to 100, my computer automatically restarts ???
Then I’ve installed it in vista business (I’ve two OSes)
it worked well with no problem but Full System Scan time is 4 hrs. isnt it too long?

Please, go to folder \windows\minidump and send the newest (recent) .mdmp files for analysis. There is also C:\Windows\Memory.dmp file.
Better if you can compress (zip) them and add some information about the BSOD and the link for this thread.

Disable Automatic Restart:
System Properties > Advanced > [Startup and Recovery]Settings
Remove the checkmark from “Automatically Restart” in the System Failure section.
Then you can check the error number and the file is causing the problem (if any).

I tried to post to nightphoenix “Upgrade to Avast! 5 not working”, but system replied “You have posted this already…”. Anyway, i already had opened a support tkt req ID NAY-393115. No reply yet. I’ll try to post my comments there, since i’m having the exact same problem like so many others
