Every time I need to run system restore I get a black screen with a cursor at start up, I’m suspecting its avast pro, I’ve searched this out a while ago, and I heard previous versions of Avast 5 Pro don’t play nice with system restore. I’m Running Windows 7 64 bit and Avast 5.0.507. I really wish I saw a thread about what type of info to post here, but the info I gave seems a bit sparse.
Edit: I see there are other poster with this problem too.
Oh no, i thought that was fixed with the new release…???
Sorry, but no w7.64 system here to check it. Used system restore since 5.0.507 on xp.32 and vista.32 systems, worked there…

avast said that the system “unsecure”, and when i click fix now… nothing happen… but i know this maybe a bug. so i reinstall my avast and now is working fine. I just want to tell avast team that avast still has problem with using system restore. so please fix this bug, so avast user doesn’t have this bug anymore…
