I noticed this is set to normal. How do I change that? Also I had it log my last full scan and it skipped many files, the log said something like “skipped due to program settings”. If I wanted to scan all files how do I set that up? I can’t find that setting.
more details > settings
I already checked the settings, first thing I did. I don’t see anything as far as controlling the scan mode, or the file types to be scanned. But under “create custom scan” there’s many more options and I found what I was looking for.
more details > settings > performanc > then click on the scan prioity bar, the middel one is normal scan
Is this what you are looking for ?
Under full scan there is no option for scanning all files. You can do it under custom scan. There are options to scan memory, a full rootkit scan vs a quick rootkit scan in the full scan option and an autostart program scan. There is also an option to bump up the heuristics to high. Avast 5 rocks!!
It does rock, I like it a lot.
Where are you seeing the options to adjust the rootkit scan from quick to full and the memory scan? I’m using the free version by the way.
I presume this is the ‘Create Custom Scan’ section as this is the only place I can see it… (in the ‘scan areas’)
Shit I see it, I didn’t pull the drop down menu down before. :
