Avast 5.0 not detected this fraud web page, while 4.8 blocked it.

Nowadays, It is easy even for a 12 year old to create websites 8)

So, the word CAUTION is the only cure to avoid such sites

If you have Avast 5.0 Free, there is no urlBlocker http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53804.msg456156#msg456156.

EDIT: "urlBlocker " means that you can add your own sites to be blocked, but blocking malware domains is in webshield, which is also in free version, so it’s strange that v4 blocked it and v5 not – are there same VPS versions?

actually, Milos is not fully right… default URL blocker (based on data contained in VPS) is intended to block malicious URLs at all, thus it is a part of Network shield… this feature is present in 4.8 home as well as in 5.0 free… another part of possible URL blocking resides in Web shield and is intended to maintain user-defined URL blocking only for browsers handled by Web shield (to be used as parental lock etc.)… this feature is not present in 5.0 free…

I just got a virus on my computer and avast did not stop it. avast got shut down by the virus.
