I use Windows Live Mail and test Thunderbird 3 beta…
Since the day I installed Avast 5 beta2 to write a review…whenever I run Live mail or thinderbird the Avast application is showing a notification that I should disable SSL/TLS in my mail clients in order for avast to scan…
But I should enable SSL/TLS because its the default setting for Gmail in Windows Live Mail and Thunderbird…
Please advise and make the October release awesome
Why not do as suggested and see if that works, because the email scanner tries to detect if the transmission should be SSL or nor and works accordingly.
What I can say, it’s my personal experience, is that avast SSL is not working accordingly right now.
It works with ports 110/25 without SSL. Next boot, who knows… sometimes it stops giving me SSL and I can’t send email…
I don’t know how to troubleshoot either.
