Avast 5 Delayed Start

Hi, I am using a non-networked Windows 7 PC with no need for Real-time shield. Still I have it enabled as a preventive measure, but I would like to delay Avast’s startup using Services.msc (Automatic Delayed Start) or Winpatrol.

I have Windows 7 and I don’t need to delay its startup but it can be done if you go to Settings then Troubleshooting then select Load avast! services only after loading other system services.

That setting was already enabled, but when I tried to delay it by using services.msc, I encountered this:

“The delayed auto-start flag could not be set.
Error 5: Access is denied.”

Of course you will get access denied that is what the avast self-defence module is for.

If there is a start up issue I would be looking at what the problem is as the last thing that I want to delay is my security applications. I would be stopping non-essential applications from running as many add to startup on installation when there is no need, typical of these are media players that you don’t need until you open a media file.
