Avast 5 IS P2P issues (Utorrent mainly)

Hi, Avast 5 IS is a great software but it gave me trouble with P2P programmes ,especially with utorrent! For a short history,
a. I tweaked the firewall and the P2P shield to give as much “access” to utorrent
b. I DLed 5 torrents with more or less 500 connected peers (5x100)
c. My system begun to glitch, entered a frieze/unfrieze cycle, I saw (task manager) that utorrent ate 100% of the CPU most of the time.
d. I turned the firewall off and the situation got a lot better but not as good as I wanted.
e. I unistalled the IS and I’m using a trial of the PRO Antivirus to see how it goes. (So far so good!)

Any suggestions on how to have the Avast 5 IS firewall turned on and DL via Utorrent without problems?

After all Avast 5 IS seems to be great! Thanks

I’m using AIS and download torrents with Free Download Manager.
uTorrent is disabled into avast P2P settings due to constantly saving the file and avast scanning it (high CPU consuming).
You can scan the file when it finished.

Ok! I see, but do you have the time to explain why is this happening with AIS and not with the Avast Antivirus Pro?

Wow… good question indeed. But it is for the programmers not for users like me

Thank you ,anyway!

For anyone who might be interested I’m sticking with avast Pro Antivirus 5, to deal with the P2P problems.
The internet security is great and I’m disappointed that I can’t have it installed. Maybe Alwil should publish a guide on how to setup properly the IS (firewall etc) to deal better with P2P clients because there are, I reckon, users like me who aren’t exactly tweaking savvy!
