I am having problems with regards to updating Avast 7 free.
I installed it yesterday and when I was updating it for the first time, it took a long time before it completed compared to Avast 6 which only took about 10 seconds. I tried updating it again an hour later and it wont update.
So today, I googled solutions to it, did the switch from “Auto-detect proxy” to “No proxy” in the Update settings - update failed.
I also uninstalled using the Avast uninstall utility (aswclear.exe) then reinstalled Avast again - still no update. Any help to this one? I dont want to use other AV’s as Avast is the lightest so far.
