avast (8.0.1483) Script Shield not working on Chrome 26.0.1410.43. :-[ :o >:(
Try a repair Control Panel>Uninstall>double click “avast”>click “repair”>reboot
Chrome just release Chrome 26 today. So in my case, its working here, but inconsistently. It is not pickin up a lot of obvious script shield activity, but it is still picking up some.
For example, I load up cnn.com on Chrome, and scriptshield just scans 1 script. In contrast Firefox + scriptshield scans hundreds scripts. No way a complex website like cnn only has 1 script. I tried other sites, like NY times and the same things happens. I don’t remember Chrome 25 ever having these problems.
On a side note, if the Avast team is thinking of patching script shield to work correctly with Chrome 26 (if the problem is confirmed), could you investigate Firefox 21 also which also disables scriptshield?
In about a week, Firefox 20 will be officially released, thus Firefox 21 will go into the beta channel where will release itself 6 weeks after. Whatever is in the beta channel is very close to release version, except of critical bug fixes, no features added while in beta so it is ideal to test any features or compatibility problems before the official release.
So if Avast is going to patch Chrome 26, I would suggest you look to patch Firefox 21 so you can issue one patch for both problems, instead of patching them separately.
Wasn’t the Script Shield updates moved to the VPS in v8?
