Pavel

If i read this correctly this is just a RC (Release Candidate) build, as in a bit more stable than Beta. Is that correct?
Do you have a timeline of when this will be released as a Production build?

We are in the middle of moving from ADNM 4.8 to EPS v7 with AEA and liking it very much, but would really like to use the newer features in AEA 8.

Thanks!

That’s correct.

Are people using this RC in their production environment?
Does anyone know of a timeline or idea when AEA 8 will go to production (final)?

I’m noticing that the client version is 8.0.1486.

In the Free/Pro forums, the client is at 8.0.1489 and includes:

List of changes • BSOD fix in aswTdi.sys • Fixed WebRep crashes in IE • Fixed WebRep FF issue with not saving the position • SecureLine stability improvements

The most important for me is the BSOD - will the Business client (8.0.1486) have issues with aswTdi.sys?

Thanks

We cant know for sure unless Avast team posts, but know that the business products have different build numbers than the consumer products, even back to the Avast 4.x days.

I see no news on the “Software Updater” included in the business product. Clients are asking for it. Any news?

^^ Just got my email stating that the final release will be June 2013, so looks like we will know soon enough.

You are adding support for Windows 8 etc. but are you dropping support for anything? Will Avast 8 still work on Windows XP machines?

Sure.

in this new version can we CHOOSE our own mirror download location??

We can install with OUT ASWSNX now (servers and embedded systems, like POS)

Helps stabilize XP single Pentium 4 512MB systems! (YUK!)

I really really like it!

Sincerely,
