That’s great that it can detect things, but until many users are actually able to use the program, they don’t really have a point. If you look at many other threads, avast 8 has been a nightmare “upgrade” for people. It breaks flash, won’t install properly, and in some cases outright nukes the users machine so they can’t even reboot.
The problems you mention should already be fixed in the latest update.
Also, don’t forget that only those having problems come to the forum; millions of users being fine don’t come here to share that information.
SNXSQL would seem to me like the stuff thats getting submitted back to avast! Virus lab from Auto Sandboxed apps. The data block and the entire traceback of the execution. Which would sort of make sense but i could be wrong. SNX stands for sandbox in avast! and SQL is for database. So SNXSQL should mean sandbox trace database.
New test : Against 15 undetected fresh malwares samples http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTUJRycaiCw
Will you change the final recommendation after autosandbox analysis ? “Continue autosandboxed” recommended, etc …
New test : Avast! vs 21 undetected fresh samples (from 50 min to 1 hour old), conclusion : 1 did not work, 20 blocked by pro active techs. MBAM found nothing. Please watch it in HD 8)
can be no difference in detecting the antivirus settings are using custom links instead of the standard
Scan potentially unwanted programs
check all compactors
try removing only the infected files, if that fails remove the full archive
applied in every module except the behavioral network
and also in the scan settings can detect much more than its original configuration.
