The file is not a virus - it is a program. I have set it in exceptions. I have set the folder in which it is in exceptions. And yet - every time this file is launched, avast sends it to virus chest. I always have to stop the antivirus so I can run this program. what to do?
Some more details would help.
The exact file name and location, also the exception that you have set and attach a screenshot of the of the avast alert window (with the More Details opened).
I set an exception manually. I set it at the alarm itself. I also set it when extracting the file from virus chest . Same thing - he doesn’t admit it.
Test the file at VT (https://www.virustotal.com) and post the link to the result here.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a virus or not. It is set as an exception, therefore it should not be checked.
How many exceptions do you have set up?
A few. On the file itself. In the folder where the file is. Every time Avast sends him to the cage, I take him out and tell him to make an exception.

Could you create/submit the support package and post its ID here?
Thanks.

I’m afraid you have way too many exclusions.
There are some limits (on the total number of characters of all the exclusions, combined) and you’ve crossed them - so, newly added exclusions won’t have any effect, they’ll get truncated.
I can only suggest removing some (you’ve got exclusions to some temporary files that I guess are no longer relevant).
