I am English - not American - So why does Avast tell me in an Irritating American accent that it has just updated.
Avast is German YES! - Please Please re-record and use English words in a good German Accent. Be proud of yourselves. Germany is cool. Sorry I can’t speak German, but I would far prefare to hear a German person telling me that me that avast has updated than an American any day!!!

Let me know when you’ve got an alternative Please

avast! is NOT German, Alwil Software is Czech Reuplic located company.

Also I wouldn’t say any one of those accents is irritating, because it’s not. If you are annoyed by the voice there is simple solution to disable avast! sounds from the control panel.

avast! is Czech not German. You don’t have to have voice notification/warnings in any accent.

I’m English and the American accent doesn’t bother me, I do ask before/manual updates and you don’t get the sound with that as it assumes you know you have updated. I think that update one is the only one that has an American accent, The caution and virus detected wav files don’t sound American to me. Check the C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ENGLISH*.wav files and see.
