Have sent a file infected with FileRepPUP to Avast for analysis, where can I find the result? Thanks

If you have shown it on some Avast websites or even through the Avast product, you will receive the result in a few days.

I believe that if you send it via form you may receive the result by email.

There are reports that people have never received the result. If anyone has received the result at some point, please post the results.

First, the FileRepPUP is ‘File Reputation Potentially Unwanted Program’ - without knowing what that program is, does and if you intentionally downloaded it. Then you may not think it is Unwanted, some tools could get flagged like this because of what they ‘can’ do.

You don’t get a direct response from Avast, but it should be analysed within 48 hours. After that time frame, you can scan it again, if it is in the programs Quarantine, sending it back would trigger Avast to scan it again.
