Is Secdvr.sys a virus because It’s in Behavior Shield?
I can’t find Secdvr.sys file on my laptop.
Can you explain this a bit further? What do you mean with it is in Behavior Shield?
Avast is just monitoring this file because it was executed or accessed, when it is doing something dangerous it will be blocked.
Hi, thanks for your reply.
When I go to security tab on avast!, and click on Behavior Shield tab I see this:
BEHAVIOR SHIELD RUNNING
Events Analyzed/Suspicious: 1/0
Last event analyzed: Secdrv.sys
Last suspicious event:
Is Secdrv.sys a virus and what is it? Am I safe?
Thanks.
It can be a virus or something dangerous, but also it can not be a virus.
Its just analysed because it is doing something (Setting Autostart-Entries, Opening another Program etc.)
When it would do something malicious it would be blocked or you will get an message about that, and you can choose what you want to do.
If you want to be sure if you are infected you can download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and scan your system. http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/
I cannot check the file because i am not having it on my laptop, so it is probaply from a program that you are having installed.
And as you can see there was nothing suspicious detected.
I’ve done the full scan with Malwarebytes and detected nothing, I think I’m safe.
Thanks for your help!
