Avast works fine whith comodo firewall?

Do you think is good idea to turn off the sandbox of one of the products?

I use the sandbox with both products, thankfully it has never caused a problem for me. I don’t know if it would be the same for others though.

No you don’t…!!
As you use avast! free you only use the autosandbox… :wink:

Having two different sandbox feature can cause conflicting between Comodo and Avast, if you’re using just the Comodo FW it better to off Comodo sandbox and only used autosandbox that way their no problem having Avast AV and Comodo FW together :wink:

well i have kept both on…so if avast catches a application and ask to sandbox[make sure u have avast autosandbox set to ask] it and comodo does it automatically at the same time i go ahead and decide what to do…sometimes i allow avast to have it sandboxed and remove the application from comodo sandbox…u will see comodo sandbox alerts more than avast autosandbox alerts are very rare for normal home users who have self caution of what is right to download from where and what is not…also please note that comodo sandbox level should be on untrusted as by default if left on partially limited rights it will allow malicious software to have access to the computer… If u have kids around the house like i have go for the parental control…i would give u the best configuration for comodo now for any user :

Firewall-safe mode.
Defence+ -safe mode.
sandbox-enabled and should be with untrusted rights.
configuration-comodo proactive security.

also u can enable parental control and lock down comodo to not to display any alerts as if there is a inexperienced user or a kid is on the computer he may allow sonething nasty…so thats a good way to go…note:legitimate applications would not be blocked in this case.

In short,there are large number of features in comodo sandbox and defence+ to explain…see the link…its actually the fact that comodo defence+ isnt perfect by itself but the user behind it has to make it perfect basically if u are a advanced comodo user like me u can go around playing with defence+ security policies if u know what u are doing…

Always remember to keep the track of the defence+ and firewall events if u have the parental control on like i have…
