I am going to purchase the full version of MWB because they saved me from the jaws of AV Soft virus. It had loaded 12 trojans and MWB cleaned them out. At the time this occurred, I didn’t have Avast on my system - had Symantec but it did not pick it up. I unloaded Symantec this a.m. and installed AVast. I’m sure Avast would have stopped it from loading. It is a vicious thing. Anyway, I wrote MWB people and asked if it would conflict with Avast and they indicated it would not. I am also going to purchase the full version of Avast - right now the free is on my system. You say to disable avast pup but not sure how to do that. Could you pls. explain…Thanks.
Very good move. I have done the same.
The two, MBAM Pro and avast 5.0 should be fine together. There was a conflict issue some time ago but that has been resolved.
Strange but I never saw a problem.
Oh well…
There was a problem with MBAM resident protection, but both companies were communicating and it was quickly resolved, so few found a problem (in that limited time frame) as it was limited to the MBAM Pro version.
Yup you could even have seen vlk who posted a poll ;D
Thank you to all who responded - have another question regarding this av soft virus. I ran the MWB scan as I indicated and it got rid of the installed trojans and also ran an Avast scan and it picked up 5 more. My question is, is it possible that this thing still is on my system deeper than these scans can reach - the system is fine and up & running but I don’t know if I’m comfortable using passwords for Paypal, etc. Any suggestions or thoughts?? Thanks -
I still have some problem with Malwarebytes
It fails to be seen in my taskbar of my secondary logon user id
I don’t know if it is related with Avast IS
@ Chris Thomas
Do you mean the MBAM IP protection and Website blocking icon in the taskbar?
MBAM has to run as administrator.
It would be best to ask your questions over at its PC Help forum:

Are the files picked from system restore? If it is, turn off system restore then turn it on again to remove the traces of the malware.
